The Croft - Waterside Cottages - Carsington
On the Edge of the Peak District
in the Derbyshire Dales

The Croft at Waterside Cottages is on the edge of the ancient village of Kirk Ireton nestled in the Derbyshire Dales countryside on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District.

The cottage is within a few minutes walk of the village and a few minutes car drive away from a huge range of attractions and places of interest.

We are blessed to be within 20 minutes of Chatsworth House, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, with its beautiful architecture and glorious gardens. Haddon Hall is also almost on our doorstep too.

The historic market towns of Ashbourne, Wirksworth, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock are all within striking distance and offer many opportunities for bargain hunting or simply just window shopping.

As far as outdoor persuits are concerned, whether it's a brisk walk or an energising rock climb Derbyshire has it all... sailing, climbing, windsurfing, canoeing, are just a few of the persuits on offer.

For the young (or young at heart) we have Alton Towers just half an hour away and at Matlock Bath you will find Gulliver's Kingdom (a theme park especially designed for children from 3 to 13).

The Derbyshire Peak District was the first designated National Park and has welcomed millions of visitors over the decades. No trip to the Dales would be complete without a visit to Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud just to the North of Ashbourne.

Whatever your age we have something for everyone in the Derbyshire Dales.
